This spot only works when the surf is triple-overhead everywhere else, and even then, only at low tide! The swell breaks on a sandbar in the middle of the Hacking River, and gives moderate length lefts and rights. When the surf is working, there will be a substantial crowd, but there are plenty of waves to go around.
By boat, or by a very long paddle out from Gunnamatta Park or Oak Park, but beware the strong current running out to sea (from the run out tide needed for the waves to form properly)
You'll probably want to own a boat, but if you do decide to paddle out, there's plenty of free parking available near Gunnamatta Park.
