Best on 6'+ swell when Mona Liza etc are maxing out. and only the biggest set waves can wrap in. 3 or 4 banks to choose from left of the pier. You know it's going to be good when set waves break out over the end of the pier. Right hand reef nearby can get epic but it's even more fickle than the better known breaks, maybe breaks properly a few times a year. Ideally it needs typhoon swell.
drive!
cheap joints nearby
Nice new car park and stairs.
