Rozsa, who was a former standout on the ASP North America Pro Junior Series, hasn't been focusing his time on competition, but seemed to easily find his feet in today's contest and posted the day's highest single wave score of a 9.63 out of 10 while helping the Reef team launch out to an early lead.
"I don't know, that thing just came out of nowhere," Rozsa said. "There's a ton of current and it's pretty scary out there once you get close to the pier. It's just fun to surf in a team event. It takes the pressure off of you since we all have to do well to win the contest."
