Ocean Beach, San Francisco is one of the best big-wave beachbreaks in the world. (It’s also one of the world’s worst beachbreaks in the world in summer, but hey.) Mostly, it’s showcased for its extra-large coldwater freight-trains, but as last weekend illustrated, it can also be just a really, really fun place to go surfing. Three days of offshore winds, combined with a medium-sized NW and some sunshine, and locals and visitors surfed from dawn till dusk on the two mile stretch of sand. Head-tanned and happy is the best way to head into any workweek.
