Yes, normally we call this franchise “Wave of the Day,” (as in one), but when we saw these two back-to-back rides come through from today’s sandbar session in France, we just couldn’t pick, so we figured we’d show ’em both. Local stalwarts Marc Lacomare, and Miky Picon (along with a few others, including Benjamin Sanchis) indulged in some step-off action in order to maximize tubetime in the throatiest, filthiest lefthand kegs seen at Hossegor in some time. Rumor has it the sandbank there has only recently come back to life, and once the swell period dropped enough from yesterday, the boys’ wave counts skyrocketed. Of course, the PWC assist didn’t hurt. Sure beats falling out of the sky all day. Our filmer, David Berthet stood on the beach for six hours, waiting for that one magical clip. “This was the best moment from today,” he said. “I think the guys will remember these waves for a long time.”
