Griffin Colapinto's 2015 Edit "Off Script"

Back in the winter of 2014-15 Griffin Colapinto was barely 15 years old, yet he was already wrapping up his surf career as an amateur and becoming a pro. He spent that winter traveling up and down the Pacific seaboard, chasing swells everywhere from Santa Cruz to San Clemente Pier with filmmaker Jacob Vanderwork—which resulted in the film seen here. It was also a significant winter for Colapinto because a photo of him taken by XX would become his first cover ever: Surfing Magazine’s June 2015 issue.
