Night Surfing at Varazze, Italy

Thanks to a powerful 8000W floodlights positioned right on the jetty in front of the main peak, you can extends your session in the water after the sunset, when often you’ll find the best waves. The sea stretches, crowding decreases and the wind turns from the ground shaping the perfect waves that made famous the main peak of Varazze worldwide. During a nice winter swell, Roberto D'Amico has been waiting for the headlights to light up to extend its session after sunset until late at night, at first sharing the line up with a few other surfers until he left completely alone in the water and free to surf the best waves of the day ... or night.
