Waves Surfed

Cromer
Description:

Cromer is an inconsistent beach break on the North Norfolk Coast. Mostly the surf breaks on the left and/or right side of the pier. The spot works best on a mid to high tide on the push. Generally a northerly or a north westerly swell will produce waves. The pier does provide a little shelter from the wind. As with many surf spots around the North Norfolk coast rips can be particularly bad.

Boscombe Pier
Description:

Taken from www.southcoastsurfers.com with permission: After Bournemouth this is the second most popular spot, therefore gets very crowded when solid. However, with the artificial reef to be installed in summer 08 it will be likely to overtake Bournemouth Pier. At the moment there is a good wave to be had although a slightly shorter ride than Bournemouth, for both long and shortboarders. This spot will be likely to become an epic surfing hotspot in years to come once the reef has been installed. Average size swell, can get crowded. A fun wave. Good vibe.

Bournemouth Pier
Description:

Info taken with permission from: www.southcoastsurfers.com Located in the middle of 10 kilometres of golden sands, Bournemouth pier is the main surfing spot for the south. The pier provides shelter from the wind with good waves to be had in the winter. East side has the most consistent, high quality surf with shelter from extreme winds that usually come with swells, whereas west side is usually much less crowded at the expense of much less shelter from wind and usually smaller waves, has the option of shooting the pier from west side though. Requires a swell to even break , but is more consistent than it is given credit for

Croyde
Description:

Croyde is a small village in North Devon and a classic beach break. It is a magnet to surfers from all over the country and gets extremely busy. There are waves on all tides but this spot really goes off at low tide. On a good swell in an easterly offshore there are barrels all over the place. It can get fast and hollow pretty quickly. Many boards have been snapped at this break! Although the break is ok for beginners once the swell gets over 4ft it is really for the more experienced surfer.

Sennen
Description:

Englands furthest west beach break. Westerly facing receives any swell on offer. Works on small and medium swells and provides good waves. Less popular than most Cornwall breaks of similar quality due to being so far south. On its day a heavy wave not for kooks.
