France 2007 T4 Road Trip (The Video!)

Postby PapaW » Mon Dec 10, 2007 1:29 am

I finally edited together all the footage from my trip over back in August.

It was supposed to be a surf trip but we only got 1 day of swell and was set to be flat the rest of the time :c typical!

So we ended up driving round France for 9 days! Here's the result. I hope you enjoy!

Very good. And very similar to my Thurso trip recently....same amount of surf footage, same fannying about in fields, same zooming along country roads, same nakedness for the sake of it, less scantily clad girls.

What do you use to edit?

My mate has finished editing ours but he has it in Russia with him and is refusing to send me a copy until we meet up in Chamonix in February, but I'll try to put it on youtube when I get the edited version.

I think he uses photoshop with after effects, but I've only ever used Ulead which is great if you want to throw something together, but is really restrictive.

I've been using Adobe Premier Pro (v1.5) Its pretty powerful. I've not botherd with after effects yet. I find the existing filters and effect work well enough with my editing style.

Don't get me wrong tho the use of AE in editing can produce fantastic results... Its just not me ;)

Christ I can't be arsed with a feature length film.. I'd never have the patents to do it.
