get the o'neill mutant split toe boots, they're really good.
Maybe o'neill lobster claw gloves too, also pretty good.

I've got Xcel split toe 3mm boots and they're ok ... not used them right through winter though as this is my first winter.

Also got O'neill Mutant split toe 3mm (came free with my winter suit :D) and they look better but I haven't tried them yet.

Bollix, huh?

Wel, laddy. I broke me big toe a few years ago and I can tell you that split is utter fleshin' for me... Cos I need my big toe held tightly against the next little piggie!

So inner split, outer round for me.

Huh? What the...

You freak :D ;)

No, single pair. They are rounded on the outside (i.e., no visible split), but on the inside there is a split between the big toe and the second toe.

LOL! NP.

Once tried a "proper" rounded outer without an inside split. Wasn't impressed! Uncomfortable, fileld with water and got heavy. Yuck!
