Boards to charity?

Postby deathfrog » Mon Aug 23, 2004 1:48 am

anyone have any old boards that they could send to texas taht they wont be needing? if its free condition isn't really an issue but id be willing to pay for a better quality board, and would pay shipping to texas. (texas s ucks for the record) good way to get rid of an old board you don't need anymore! :D

Dude, golfsurfer, relax dude. It is getting a bit old, idt theres a very consistent place in the world, and texas may not be able to get great stuff, but it does get some stuff, so deathfrog, just relax and go on the good days.
and golfusrfer, theres no need for that. so just shut up if your gonna say stuff like that.

as for boards, i have a real old one, from the 70's, broke the tail to it. Im fixing it up, reshaping hte tail and all. If it doesnt surf good id give it to you... but id doubt youd want that.

becaue I don't like it. You can like it all you want, doesen't matter much to me, id just rather be back in california then here. If you surfed here all your life, yea texas is good, but I lived in california for half my life and its no comparison on good days. When you don't have the luxury of looking out your window and seing what the surfs like, texas sucks. If you can do that I see why you like it, but I don't. If I was closer to the coast id enjoy it more, but im not.

there are a few different waves in matagorda. One is by the pier, and down the beach. The other, u have to paddle across a river mouth, then ur at the wave. im not sure which one is better though, theyre both really fun. The river mouth is pretty eirie but so is the rest of gorda. we've caught some big hammerhead and bull sharks right off the pier, there have also been some tigers. the sharkiest is prolly the river mouth or like 15 miles down the beach. but normally they wont mess with u! lol. next time it goes off ill post on here, and ill also find the surf cam there sometime today.

i dont remember the name of it, but its the only pier in gorda. Gordas a very small town that just consists of a bait shop/convienient store.
