Indoor Surfing

Postby Tango de la Muerte » Wed Oct 31, 2007 2:00 pm

Aloha guys,

I need some opinions from u concerning an indoor surf park.
What do u think about an indoor surf park in central Europe? I mean not this shitty parks with the standing waves!
I think of an indoor surfpool where you get different kind of waves due to the newly available technique that can adjust the pool floor to imitate different kind of reefs and a wave machine that can adjust the hight and frequence of the waves up to 10 feet waves!
Furthermore the park would include training pools, beginner pools, surfshops and restaurants.
Would be cool if I get some replies, need them for a school project.
THX in advanced!

You poor xxxxx.... That sucks.
Would be fun at times, but it would suck if thats all you got.
Id just get a Dirt Bike instead and take up something different. Or move.

Anyone seen any real wave pools that can be surfed properly?

This one

Saw an article in NZ Slide about it, they did a photoshoot with a few pro longboarders, looked OK.

Iv been to the Malaysia one, will kinda. Its in Petalang Jaya and it used to be an old mine of some sort. It was a well hot day and the last day of our field trip and they took us inside the building and we got to look over the waterpark while they told us all about it and the environmental effects of the place. It sucked. Didnt realise that was there though.

Oh and if any of you are concerned about water/environmental issues, dont use it
