What does everyone drive to the beach?

Postby Lauz45 » Thu Nov 01, 2007 6:44 pm

Just wondering as i'm about to buy a new (second hand) car, and although I would love a Ford KA, it's not very practical for taking my 7'10 minimal to the beach, is it? :D

What does everyone else use for transporting surfboards? I'm after a small engine size too to keep petrol costs down.

Mitsubishi Delica, goes anywhere, can fit a few longboards inside, and sleep inside, seats 8 people too. It's diesel but a bit thirsty.

Renault Clio! Fits my 7'10 & 6'8 inside if it's too windy to strap it to the roof bars.

8 seater Caravelle, day trips 5 ppl and upto 8 short boards inside. Overnight 3ppl and 5 boards. Seats fold flat to make a bed, ok for roughing it for 2-3 nights.
