Well, yesterday we had the textbook definition of smog-- smoke & fog, could barely see 30 feet when I was driving, and it stank like smoke. The humidity is helping a lot with the fires now, as things are cooling off a bit here.
As for the comments on resources, as the Malibu fire started first, a lot the resources headed there as part of shared resource agreements, and stayed there, maybe due to the high property values, as that fire only ended up burning 1/10 of the acreage of the Santiago Canyon (OC) fire, and 1/100 of the acreage of the fires in San Diego.

I am glad to hear it is dying down from what it was.
I might be moving down to Oceanside next summer and it was decided during the fires.. which is odd. my family is weird..
