ding ding

Postby keef » Mon Oct 22, 2007 6:00 pm

help please................. dinged my herb fletcher long board this morning, got washed onto the rockie reef just like a flippin beginner whilst getting out after a crap sess, did the 'quick stand up and look around to see if anyone saw me' thing, before checking the board for injuries, then realising i was bleeding.................

My board is a flexlite epoxy and now has a very small ding on the nose. the paint is missing but the surface underneath is hard and not foam.

do i need to stick some epoxy repair resin over the top? I've used this before but it always looks crap and I end up scratching the paint around the repair when I try and rub it down smooth, so I'd rather not use it unless I have to......... so can I leave it as it is?

My tuflite al merrick has the same thing, just a paint scratch on the nose.

I've left it and it's fine but in the near future I'm planning to just cover it in a layer of epoxy, just to be sure. It's probably the best thing to do.
