What a session!

Postby Tenaciousgreen » Sun Oct 14, 2007 9:26 am

There always seems to be a part of any activity that you'll remember for a long time. I think mine came yesterday!

A 3 hour session at my local beach break and I suddenly made that step from surfer wannabee to surfer (minus all the fancy stuff!), then crapping myself when I saw what I thought was a shark swim about 1/2 metre away from me, only to be told it was a dolphin by the bloke next to me, then taking a heavy nosedive and coming up to find my board minus 2 fins and brand new set costing me more than I could have imagined!

A session to remember! It all seemed to happen yesterday!

nice sounds like an exciting session. i went surfing today at huntington with my bro who doesn't go as much. theres always dolphins there that im aware of but schools of em, and i saw one fin sticking out 15 yards behind my bro and i was like, 'yo lets paddle in a bit' and he looked over and freaked out pretty badly when he saw a fin. i was sure it was a dolphin but just to be safe specially only cause i saw 1 fin. its definitely a nice feeling gaining some confidence in your surfing.

Yeah it is a nice feeling, but today's session was just like learning again. I guess it takes time and more practice. Back to surfer Wannabe for now. :?
