I did not think my 6' fish was too short till I saw this:

http://video.google.com/videoplay?docid ... 6749089990

I am looking to get better after two years of going at it. I thought (plus was advised) this board would be good.

Any advice on a new board?

Go chat to a shaper there are plenty of good ones in san diego they will know best.

if you are in ob be happy to paddle out sometime - im usually hanging round the pier north or south depending on waves :-)

You running bricks instead of fins? Seams like fairly slow board there....
You need another 10" inches or so and something just a bit faster. Also your need to find your position on the wave face a bit better. Your kinda everywhere but not in the pocket where the power is.... start trying to pump accross the face of the wave more smoothly and find the power/speed with each downward pump/bottom turn. Get a feel for the wave more-so than trying to smack the lip or whatever.
No offence, just constructive critisism.

No board is too short for anyone ;) You just have to have the right wave to surf it with. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f1f4lNOEJ8s
