Surfing unbroken wave?

Postby Hopupu » Tue Sep 18, 2007 4:13 pm

Aloha,

Recently I surfed some beachbreaks west of Bordeaux (landes area).

On a clean 3-4 ft swell there where no waves breaking at high tide. I did find a spot that had waves steepening about 30-40 meters away and holding this untill they broke on the shore.

I was with my 9ft classic longboard (BIC) and thought why not try to catch one of these not-breaking waves?

To my surprise I caught 2 nice waves with ease and surfed them on the face all the way to the shore!!!

Has anyone have a similar experience? It was one of those magic surfmoments. I have never seen pictures or heard about this kind of surfing.
