Greetings from Cape Town

Hello everyone...

I've been reading this forum for a while and learnt A LOT. It's really awesome how much it actually helped and without reading these posts I would still be getting battered by waves. I also like the posts about 'stoke' and how surfing takes over your life and the comparisons between boards & girls, all very true.

Anyway, I have a 9ft longboard because the old 1960's style is the best in my eyes- and got into surfing a few weeks ago - I don't really know why I started but I just decided one day that I should and it's the best EVER! I learnt really quickly and was up on the first day, but isn't that the beauty of a longboard?

So this long weekend I'm taking a trip up to Jeffreys Bay (you may have heard of it...:) )with some friends. The waves are absolutely insane but there are some spots there that are ok for a beginner / mediocre surfer. I'll definitely pay a quick visit to Supertubes though, only to look, not to die!
