Pressure dings on an epoxy

Postby myate » Thu Sep 06, 2007 11:17 am

I've got a 6 8 glass shortboard, which with only a few surfs on it has some pressure dings on the deck...my local repair guy said this is the norm, nothing to worry about (unless majorly cracked).
I've just got a 7 10 minimal epoxy for the days when it's small...anybody here know if the epoxy board will get these pressure dings as easily as my glass board.

cheers!

It shouldnt do. Epoxies will ding if you smack 'em, but they dont suffer as much from pressure dings.

I have a two year old surftech which looks brand new, no pressure dings on the deck at all. Perfect.... except for what British Airways did to it

yea, normally it's just the glass boards that suffer from pressure dings, although epoxy boards can get them it's not so likely there will be as many
