bank holiday monday was reasonably good at croyde; waves were abit hit and miss but there were some decent sized ones in succession followed with flat spells :(
im looking to go at the end of the month so where would be recommend; south west (devon probably) or north east (tynesands?) thanks. marc.

cracking waves up here in lewis (Hebrides) at the moment, on the east coast which isn't forecasted by magic seaweed, good offshore wind, a dying north swell so about 7 foot at the moment. The wild West Coast has good sized waves but the wind is causing it to be a little choppy at the moment.

Do you think 1.5ft @ 10 seconds will be surfable (Polzeath Thursday or Friday)? I know it's not ideal but I need to get out and surf before my two weeks holiday is up! So disappointed .. two weeks off work and it's been flat :(

Surfable at 1.5m...? Yes.

Surfable at 1.5ft...? No.

Actually, I think it'll just about be surfable come the end of the week. the tide is midafternoon so it'll be best from around noon. It wont be much but I dont think it'll be actually flat...

Good luck!

Yup. Its been depressing. I was tempted this morning, but it was still to small at Widemouth.

Prediction says Thursday might JUST be surfable, Saturday should be ok. Then dead again.

yeah there was hardly anything, caswell picks up less swell than most beaches on the gower, although it wouldn't have made much difference anyway because it was pretty much flat everywhere
