Anyone used a tiki board before? How are they?

Ease to paddle, weight, turning etc..

They're alright.

I'd personally choose custom over them. Check out custom made boards. Coopers are good.

i've heard swampy boards are good and the shaper really enjoys doing it...the reason it's cheap is because the shaper isn't very well known, which means that he can't charge a lot because it would put people off...but many people i have spoken to are completely happy with their boards...however...there are members on the forum who don't charge much to shape a board for how much effort that goes into it!!

Okay i might consider a swampy then, i've emailed him a few times and he seems a nice guy but i'm just quite cautious over the interwebs

Any forum member names?

hi I haven't been on for a while, but just to let you know, kitey did a board for me a while ago, and it is an absolute gem. I don't know how much he charges these days, but what he charged me for mine was well worht the price. He is a really good shaper, and won't overcharge you.

I went to the beach today just to get off the ship for a while, and hoping against hope that there would be something.... surprise... flat!

Whitsand is my favourite spot. Never crowded, and on good days, perfect sets.

Only problem is.... it most often than not flat from June-Sept.

Im missing the sea real bad!
