Is 6oz + 4oz. x 6oz of glassing going to make a board look real shinny? ANd are all boards glassed?

that would make it stronger, any board i have seen has been glassed or covered in some sort of material but most comonly epoxy and glass

It's not the glass paper which makes the board look shiny, it's the gloss or polish finish applied after fixing the glass fibre.

yeah and the gloss etc costs more to have put on you're board

yep all true... In terms of Polyester (no experience with epoxy) a gloss coat is more or less just a resin mix containing a waxy element that is bought about through the addition of styrenes (I am a shocking spella) to the mix; normally you can buy it premixed, I have no idea about epoxy gloss coats :? .
