Would you rather have a morning surf alone or with a mate? 8)

I love surfing along, but it really gets me that it's always at those times that I get a great wave, barrelled, pull off a nice floater or whatever, and there's nobody there to see it. Not so much from the ego point of view, but more because talking it up with a mate prolongs the stoke.

Either way works for me, but it is more fun to have a bud or two along. For safety reasons and to share the stoke. Nothing like hearing your bud hooting while your taking off on a big one!

I like to have the first session on my own, just for an hour, to get back into it if Ive not surfed for a while, or just to warm up. Then to surf with other people about.

Which is excatly how it went on saturday, which was nice :D

I like having one close mate with me. It helps when it's a female friend, but one friend is always nice to commune with.

Is anybody a member of a surf-club?
Not sure if they are worth the money.
At least you can meet some like-minded guys from your area.
