TEFL Touring

Hi everyone,

I'm thinking of going off somewhere nice where I can get some surf in and maybe teach English as a foreign language to bring some money in along my travels! Anyone have any ideas on where best to go? (I'm a beginner) Or ever done something like this? I'd appreciate any response's.

Aloha!

Nicola,
Never done anything like that myself but it sounds like a fabulous idea!

Your best bet would be to get hold of a copy of the Stormrider Guide or similar and then cross check the places you feel you'd be happy living with those places with good surf.

Obvious and easy choices would be West Coast France, North West or South West Spain, Portugal.

Or if you wanted more of an adventure maybe somewhere like Indo or Costa Rica, Mexico etc.

Hi Jonny,

Thanks for your suggestions. I just got the world stormrider and the europe edition and all those pictures are really tempting! So I might start with the SW Spain and after head to mexico. While studying for the course though I can still enjoy my own shores!!

Thanks again, Happy surfing!

Nicola
