What to do when it's flat - rock climbing

Postby Ed McDead » Mon Aug 20, 2007 6:59 pm

I've just taken up rock climbing as something to do when I can't get wet. Am loving it - a whole new range of skills to learn, kit to buy, fears to overcome and muscle aches.

What do you do?

Climbing does have the best kit - an almost infinite number of shiney things, widgets and gadgets. You can never have too much.....

....although, obviously, you can try and carry too much

I do climbing too. I see it as a summer thing like mountain biking, can't be wasting my time with that nonsense where there is waves and snow.

I always worry about doing too many sports and diluting my skills!

I love climbing! But I have no-one to go with at the moment so havent done it in ages

When its flat I do as much youth work as poss, read, gardening, go to the pub, just potter about the house find things to distract myself for a while.
