nice northerly swell by the looks from late thurs thru th wkeend, east side so will be on it at some point.

James might be doing an overnighter. Or i may be able to get someone in the shop Fri, which could mean some serious reef time to crank it up 8)

I'm hopefully going to be down Croyde on Saturday and Sunday (sunday has 4 stars and low cross shore winds on magic seaweed at the moment, but i expect that to change) :(

MSW is lying!!!!!

The forecast for the weekend, at least the details of swell and wind, are a bit tricky to call right now. Its almost certain to change. But at the moment it looks something like this for sunday...

...so I dont quite understand where MSW is getting its 4* rating from :?
That's wrong enough that I think they may have a glitch in their system (over and above the normal ones)

I cant see any 11s period swell, thats for sure

Hopefully Im wrong, or more to the point the charts change, as I plan to be surfing this weekend too!!

i completely agree, where do msw get their info from?? it's hardly ever right, and when the swell is good, msw still over rates it

winds are forcast to drop tomorrow, but so is the swell. i'd go today, and if tomorrow is any good, do em both, but look for a sheltered spot today

I want to go today but winds look really bad, and whats worse is its 3-4ft odd messy.
At Llangennith you dont realy want to bother when its big and messy - its usually a waste. This is annoying me now. Its either flat or blown out.

went out this evening and the sun came out. Was a solid 3ft clean. It was amazing - only bad thing was there was about 40 odd other surfers fighting you for the waves.

Could someone explain to me what it is I am supposed to look for in weather charts...lows... highs?? I have no idea!

Either that or point me in the direction of a site which explains it in words of 1 or 2 syllables lol

thanking you kindly :D
