i want to get one for my bike...first i would like to kno if it would go with a bmx bike???and i wanted to kno in your opinion if you think its better to the side of the bike or in the back...thnx

I work in a outdoors gear/equipment store and ive always dealt with yakima racks. As far as their system goes I think they work really well, they definately arent cheap but they are a great investment because they will definately last for practically forever, plus you can typically take one rack from one car and put it on another car easily with only having to get one extra part to do so. But to answer your question, I have the yakima strap thang on my car and with some pads underneath it works well for my surboard, as far as bikes go you can have it ride on top or on the back depending on what system you go with from yakima, with it on top you can also carry your surfboard, with it on back you cant, so to pick one if you were to go with a yakima rack I would say top.

i have a carver surf rack. type it on google. they fit right on the pole that the seat is on top of. they work great
