Beach related fun.

Ok, so when I got up this morning it was REALLY flat, so we decided to play on the beach for a bit. Over the last couple of days I've seen kids trying to dam the stream coming down Saunton beach and failing, so armed with little plastic shovels we set to it.

First thing that happened, we accidentally upset some kids that were already trying to do it, downstream of us as we cut off their water so they started again upstream but with the intention of destroying our dam by building up a big load of water in theirs then trying to wash ours away.

This went on for a couple of hours in which they tried all sorts of sneaky things, like digging channels round to divert water at the side of the dam which caused an argument about cheating.

This is when I noticed that because the stream had been dammed for hours, people had taken root on the now dry bit of beach that was the flood plain...

deck chairs, beach tents, people sleeping on towels galore!

This is where we reached an agreement to work WITH the kids for a little while, before collapsing the center of both dams sending a massive wash of water down the beach!

Am I mean? Is it wrong to find soaking loads of people funny? And if so does that make all families pissing themselves laughing evil?

Would loved to have seen that.
Last summer was on the beach at boscombe on the left of the pier, me and my family and my mate and his family. We had been in this spot most of the morning, set up 10ft from the shore so we could see the kids, not to busy a day, so plenty of room. Alone comes a family of tourists ( the oversea types ), and set up right in front of us, and i mean right in front. I could have handed them my j . Anyway an argument blows up between the women folk. In the end the police turn up and they are asked to move on.
As normal they don`t speak English apart from swear words of course. The police go and they try to pitch up in front of another family a few yards away, and were told to move, this happened 3 times, of cause i found the whole thing very funny.
