Workout for surfing?

does anyone workout and mix their surfing in with their workout program??

i workout to surf better :P, well i treat it as any other sport where u have to train to get better. but ive changed my workout to further help surfing like working more chest and shoulders to help in stamina and speed in paddling and if u really wanna get good balance, get one of those gym balls and learn to stand on it ;) im from canada and played hockey for years, and part of my routine was to stand on a gym ball with weights and do squats, pass medicne balls between one another and it really helped with balance for hockey, and im certain it helped heaps when i started surfing im telling ya, i think much more then an indo board. but it takes practice to learn to stand.
