Bad Sunburn.. help !

Does anyone have any suggestions for a bad sunburn.... besides wearing sunblock the next time your out in the sun.

Stingose... Lemon juice... Cucmber juice...

You might be able to find an anaesthetic spray at your local chemist if you are lucky.

treat it as you would any burn. Very cool bath followed by Aloe Vera. Try and stay away from heat as that always seems to fire it up again.

acidic liquids, hot showers, and lots of friction will do just fine.

There's nowt (I know of) that'll actually help the burn heal faster (stay out the sun to avoid making it worse!) but anything cold, especially cream-like will help soothe it. e.g. Aftersun cream, aloe vera, cold mayo :P etc etc

my friend puts his after sun in the fridge. He says is feels sooooo good after the initial shock.

Rash vest helps. :wink:
And loads of water proof sun screen, don`t forget behind the ears, that smarts a bit if you get burnt there.

A hotish bath, stings like xxxx, but feels good after :shock:

keep out the sun for a few days and cover yourself with LOTS and LOTS of aftersun lotion every few hours.

Just apply on plenty of aloe vera. Applying it right away after a sunburn will help prevent your skin from peeling.
