Fairly average longboarder just wanting to say hi.
Thought it about time to say thanks for all the advice i'd got from this board - the most friendly set of people of the internet.
Cheers

I've been posting here awhile, but I've never truly introduced myself, here's my chance...

Real name is Pete

Born in L.A., in 1955 (makes me 52 yo). Started surfing in 1967. Moved to Ventura County in 1976 - 1978, then to my current home in San Diego. I generally ride longboards, I have a 10' noserider, a 9'6" carbon fiber Walden Magic, a 9'6" Stewart Hydro Hull, a vintage 60's Larry Felker of Hermosa Beach 9'0" with a "permit" from City of Laguna Beach dated 1968. Two 7'6" Gordon & Smith twinzers and a 8'6" "Big Gun" from Bing Surfboards, semi vintage... (70's model).

The 9'6" Stewart was a gift to me from some very good friends who post at surfingsandiego.com We had a kick ass party at San O to celebrate my 52 on 07.07.07. Here's a couple of pics...

The last pic here is of my surfing "Tribe" at Pipes Cafe in Encinitas, CA. after a couple of really good sessions. Yes, the girls do surf, and a girl took the photo who also surfs.

Here's a link to some pics of the San O party if you'd like to see them...

Yo, I also just joined. I'm totally new to surfing but enjoy it a lot, I'm hoping to pick up some tips. Unfortunately I live in New York so I don't get the opportunity a whole lot but I have family in CA, so...

Hey everybody, I'm new, too. :). Are there many other girls on this forum? A small group of my friends and I started surfing a little while ago and we love it!! We do it every chance we get.

Great looking board Otter. It looks like your tribe has a blast. I need to get out there one day and hook up with you guys and gals. I need to get a little better first.
