In my opinion you should wear the biggest wetsuit that was ever made. It's too cold to surf in the UK  :D 8)

i'd wear boardies n a rash vest, thats what i've worn the last couple of times, and thats with all this bad weather! so if you hit a nice spell, then no wettie

lol, isn't pipeline tropical all year round? the british waters don't touch tropical on the hottest of summers, yet many of us surf in boardies (atleast on the south coast)

   "jezible"

Yes I am a pansy, and the North Shore is semi-tropical. The water was like 20something..brrr. Yes my nuts would be permanently lost.

Don't spend ridiculous money on wetsuits, just book a flight to a hot country!

Im planning on surfing Hawaii in a bikini, unless I start getting sunburnt & then I'll wear my boardshorts & rash vest.

Depends on what you call warm.

Yea, sunblock is a must. It may be cold (or hot depending on how far away form the equator you usually surf) in the water but the sun always burns! I find zinc is the best, but you look like a pillock. 8)
