Surftech Robert August "What I Ride" vs. GSI Walde

Postby rbfactor » Mon Jun 25, 2007 8:58 pm

I want a durable epoxy longboard that is good for learning, forgiving and will do well in most conditions.

Thanks to input from this forum I've narrowed it down to a 9' Walden Magic or a 9' Robert August "What I Ride".

Any votes or opinions?

Thanks for any input.

Magic says its an allrounder but performance/noserider, dunno much about the what I ride, outlines both look close with the Magic having more nose.

I was leaning strongly toward the Walden but I came across a year-old 9'0" fiberglass Southcoast Cruiser in new condition for $350. Since I'm still relatively new to the sport, I bought it figuring that I can upgrade later.

If you end up getting one of the boards, please post your assessment.
