got a small ding on the nose of my board

Postby surfernoob » Sat Jul 07, 2007 6:56 am

i just got a used becker 7'6" funboard, cant wait to try it. i'm new to surfing =) but unfortunately only had a shortboard to learn on the last couple weeks. looking forward to seeing the difference on this board. anyway, the board seems to be in great shape except a small ding on the side nose's edge. its about a half inch and i can see some foam through it. would it be a very bad idea to take it out in the water?, as i want to asap. is it something i can fix myself and save, or leave it for the stores to do?

Yes if you can see the foam it is a bad idea. Don't go till you fix it. If in question about if it is water tight don't put it in the water. If it is small (the ding) go to your local surf shop and buy SunCure and you will be ready to go in 15 minutes.
