I can't stand it, the surf gods hate me!

I've been trying to get good at surfing all summer, and doing my best to get confident in bigger surf, but I'm just totally unable to cope with the surf we've been getting lately in Sydney... On the days that it's been only 3-4ft, I've been stuck at work, or on the days I have free, it's been 8ft! Grrrrrr

sorry about the rant.... Has anybody else been in this situation? OR more importantly, have any NSW/QLD surfers been able to get out and enjoy this big stuff lately?

If its like that in a few weeks time, we can both stand on the beach together not daring to go out

Way out of my league.

...for now

arent there any beaches that pick up less swell? i know these would still be pumping, but maybe smaller, possibly more suitable to you?

You lucky lucky 5arstward, No what you mean. I know my limits, but it is a real buzz just paddling out back on a big day and watching the good guys rip it up. Then for some strange reason you feel the urge and drop in on one, O what a mistake :bang: :unuts: :spew:

Bah!!! it's true... the gods really do hate me! 25knot westerlies all week so that this weekend will be absolutely totally flat as a tack!!! It's flat already, and we've only had 1 day of westerly wind...

Usually that means it's perfect to go for diving, except we've had so much rain that the water is full of mud and fertilisers! grrrr!

Anyway, at least the weather means I've gotten around to fixing up all the damage to my mini-mal after a summer of abuse.
