..lol..yes they are

heres a nice lil' story for ya .. back in 81' i think it was , i went to Malta with the fossils and rented this one man floaty , paddly surfboard thing.. off i paddled about 100yrds of shore and just lay there on my belly kinda snoozing , un-beknown to me there was a lovely lil' rip that dragged me sideways and spun me round ..i came to about ten minutes later and could see the bay like fooking miles away .. without thinking to look over my shoulder and check ..i started to panic and just paddled towards shore whilst snivelling all the way at my likely demise .. i must of got like 500yrds before i realised it was the other side of the bay ... muppet

lmao! you muppet :D saying that, it's sounds like something that id end up falling victim too!

Hi I'm Amy. I live in Southern California and I have been surfing for little over a month. My husband started first and then I figured I'd give it a shot. I've been going out to surf with him as much as I can! :D

She only needs to try it once to know if she'll love it forever! Once I did it I was hooked. I can't wait till I am able to actually stand up on my board hahaha. [/u][/b]

Hello all...my name is Hilary (27) [beginner surfer]. I live in Seattle - not the best surfing around, but yes, we do have it. I got my first board about a month ago and LOVE the sport.

Looking to meet some Seattle surfers or really just anyone interested in chatting it up.

Hoping to plan a surfing vacation (two weeks long) in October. I don't know a lot of people in my area who surf, so I am hoping to meet some online that would like to join me! I am open to the location :)

Hope to hear from some of you soon.

hello

Postby KatieBun » Wed Jul 04, 2007 2:36 pm

Hi, I'm not actually a surfer. I'm taking my 15 year old son and his mate to Newquay in August. Both have had a go at surfing before but neither has any equipment of their own. Any suggestions about a few refresher lessons and board hire would be gratefully received from a mum who wants a peaceful, hassle-free break, coupled with two contented lads.

PS I tried but I'm absolutely hopeless and kept falling off and getting hit on the head by the board. Not comfortable! Think I'll stick to watching. I have great memories of watching the surfers in Jeffrey's Bay, SA on New Year's Day. :D
