does anyone know an online store where you can get cheap used surf boards, and i mean CHEAP im leaning towards a soft board probably. im trying to get my friend into surfing.

Can you not make one out of a piece of wood covered with a foam sleeping mat?? Maybe throw in a 2 litre coke bottle for added bouyancy??

I am not sure where you are located, but I was in a costco the other day in Aliso Viejo California and they had 9ft soft tops for $99.

Here is a suggestion you probably won't want to hear, but here goes. When you learn on CHEAP equipment it takes longer to learn, you don't have near as much fun and you don't give yourself a fair chance at a new experience.
