Another new board!!

Postby miamisurfer » Mon Jun 18, 2007 4:10 pm

After two hours of looking at Island Water Sports I chose to get this board.
6'0'' , 18 1/4'', 2 3/16'', single concave, K board

I can't wait to try this thing out in Nicaragua, just 10 more days.
With the pad and tax it cost about $720.

Its not that thick, it's just a bad picture.

 I just buckled it yesterday. I was paddling as hard as I could to get past an outside that was solid6 ft and it broke right on me so I ditched. I came up and my board is 10 ft away from me because the wave had unstrapped my leash. So I get on my board paddle towards my friend and as I was putting the leash back on I noticed a crack on the rail. I flipped the board over and there was a crack going from the edge of the rail on the deck to the other edge of the rail on the other side. My friend who said the lip of the wave was 2 ft thick.

I'm looking into getting a Sunova. I have seen a few of their boards and they look awesome, but I have heard they are exspensive. :(

If you mean Bert and Josh then a big YEP! Excellent boards.

Think about this - a sunova will outlast 5 or 10 poly boards with minimal looking after. And is many times better for the environment.

Now - what's expensive :)
