Another Anglesey trip today. Small (2ft with the odd set double that) but clean to glassy with generally offshore breezes. Even got sunny about lunchtime.........

Leven again this evening. High Tide.. well sweet. The Reef withthe goods again but a shadow of the size of yesterday still well good.

My luck still in good form as the wave decided not to bash me into suck rock but insted gently placed me on top leaving me lying over it unable to get off untill the next wave lifted me off :p

Finished off with some classic peir action at high tide surifn into nothing. Always a great crack and promply finished with a not to stylish exit onto the rocks and put a dent in my slick. ;p

Heres a snap of Alex from yesterdays leven... this is the end section of the reef and so about 3ft smaller than the main peek and 1st sections

Managed to get a surf in on saturday, small (1.5ft max) < 10 degrees and me in a dodgy 2.5mm wetsuit no boots etc.

A fun but cold 1.5 hours..

FINALLLY got in the water after about 6 months of waiting and wishing. Conditions were blown out and sloppy, only about 2-3 ft waves, and the water was 62 degrees, but as soon as I caught a wave none of it mattered. SO STOKED.

Got my first left hand wave yesterday, and some more today. Trimming and steering around people now. Those who have seen my earlier posts from a few weeks back will know I've been dogged by injury coz I was learning on a very unfriendly rocky reef break, but till now I was doing all right handers even though I'm a goofy, but now I'm well stoked.
Wicked.

Oh, and I got one really hollow steep wave without pearling, and it was the fastest I've ever been on my board, not that big, but really quick, I went WOOOOOSH!!!

I love surfing SO much.

Had Gay Bay last night, 3-4ft with a bit of chop on it but some decent longish rides to be had.

Had planned to drive North after but was knackered so holed up for the night at Cayton which still had some size on it at 4.45am  but nothing worth the paddle out. So hit Gay Bay again which was nice and clean at about 2-3ft so a fun wave till the fog rolled in.

Could hardly see the shore and certainly couldn't see the bigger sets till they were on top of you, quite a laugh for me and another next to me. I'll see how the pics i took come out but it was horrible last night when i got out and, well, foggy this am.

Still looks quite nice. Especially since there's absolutely nothing down south according the the charts... :(

Are you anywhere near Aberdeen?

Funnily enough i know someone who used to live there. I don't think it picks up quite as much swell as down here, but Pease and Coldingham further south do, but i think they are a bit of a hike to get to

went to sandsend today. was just about head high when i got there but the wind wasnt great. it looked ok so i went in anyway. it wasnt ok it was a bit crap. i got a couple of vaguely ok waves.

so i moved up the coast a bit. im not sure if the reef i was surfing at is common knowledge so im not going to name it. it was about chest high and nice n clean. fairly mellow for a reef break really but i had a great time surfing it all alone.

no pics unfotunately coz i couldnt be bothered taking a camera

If its in footprint or stormrider its not a secret really, unless its a certain wave further oop north that rarely works. If it was R then its not a secret and you must have been lucky to get that on your own, if it was there were you on the middle one.
