what bothers me the most is "expirenced" surfers who act as if they are better than u because they have been surfing longer, but most of the expirenced surfers i know are very helpful
Yep - there are a few - there is one certain person down at Saunton who is VERY good, but has a habit of aiming his board at people 'in his way' without a thought as to the damage he could cause...... He's trashed a few boards (others, not his) and nearly ran over me on one occasion and it seems to be his little ambition.........
Heads up for people, watch out for a certain purple longboard piloted by a proficient, but rather w*nkerish local surfer who shall remain nameless........
However - this could be turned around - what about 'inexperienced' surfers who think they are better than they are and sit in innapropriate places in a line up (just deeper, just inside, just closer in) thinking they are giving themselves priority.
Or the ones that paddle out into the best section of a wave?
Or the ones that paddle for every wave, but make next to none??
Or bail their boards because they can't turn them?
We all make mistakes - as long as there's an apology or a wave, then I'm cool ..........
