Kite surfing is beautiful!

Wow, on our trip to San Diego, we ventured out to Coronado and down the silver strand (I think that's what they call it) and looked over and saw what seemed at first to be parasailing. Then we realized it was kite surfing!! It cost us $8 to pull into the state park and watch but man oh man it was awesome! There were very few people there using the beach so it was just us, the roar of the ocean, and all these cool kites going this way and that with the surfers. Surreal!! We were so tired from all we'd been doing that we just sat in the van and watched them without saying a word. It was just so cool!! Looks so graceful and all but also very dangerous. I'll remember it forever!

Yep it is amazing. First saw it on my first trip to Hawaii about 5 or 6 years ago. Now everytime I head to certain beaches, I have to pause to watch the kite surfers.
