Defo agree with DBBB - surfing the Channel is way colder than N.Devon.
I wear a 5mm all year coz I'm a combination of a total wuss and a total cheapskate!!!!
And DBBB - when you say the 5mm is done for the year I think what you mean to say is that its done forever!!!

donned my shorty last weekend in Devon.. if it wasnt for the wind i reckon i could have lasted an hour or so ..but the wind kicked up and within 30mins i was turning blue

word of warning:

dont go in the north sea with no wetsuit. its fleshin cold!!!!

went for a quick swim while in scarborough with my mates. lasted about 15 minutes

ive been in my 3/2 for the last 6 weeks, i live in north wales, hasnt bothered me ive been getting a decent 2 hour sesh everytime, i ve even just been in my boardies a coule of times over the last 2 weeks. am i mad????
