It's about 450 miles from here to San Onofre  and worth every mile to be able to get in the water :D 8)

Peace

Almost next door to my school apt....
10 minute bike ride and quicker by car (but slower to unload, etc.)...

closest surfable break-about 1h30 with no to little traffic.
Closest ocean break- about 400 miles(and across a boarder)

About a one minute drive or 10-15 minute walk. Being lazy I drive, but means more time in the water. :D

In the UK the beach used to be my back garden, these days I'm 5 minutes in the car from a couple of nice beachies, hour to 2 hours away from some really good spots.

I grew up on the beach, only lived inland once for 6 months, and it did my head in. I need to be able to see and smell the ocean every day, it just feels like something's missing otherwise.

About 15 minutes for some crappy spots but with 20-30 minutes I can get to better places.

half an hour...20 minutes if i leave early and drive fast

it motivates me to stick with school so one day i'll have that job that'll pay for a place where i'll be able to hear the waves with the windows open at night...ahhh dreams.
