hey guys, the last time i surfed was about 6 years ago and i've only gotten back into it. i wanna buy a new surf board, and i really need some help, i saw this one, but my judgment is swayed by its pretty design, so will someone help me decide whether its any good?the links below:

Very nicely finished board - but whether it's any good depends on who's using it..........

Height/Weight/Level of ability all come into play......

The width and thickness should mean plenty of float for a novice (as long as you don't weigh like 14 stone or something, which I'm sure you don't), and the board should be long enough for yer average height girlie - although you might find it a bit sketchy on take off if you're normally used to bigger boards.......

thank you!!!! so u think i shud get it? im really nervous about gettin it and then it bveing totally suckish!!! i weigh about 7 stone so i doubt itll be a problem lol

So, apart from weighing next to nothing, what sort of height are you?? And when you used to surf, what sort of standard did you get to?? And what other boards have you ridden before??

It's a sweet looking board and is about the right sort of dimensions for someone of your size to be learning on.
My one criticism of the board for you is that a pin tail is not a good tail to have on a board for a learner and i would also be dubuois about the cleaims for riding it on a single fin as the centre fin in the board would not be big enough to ride as a single fin sucessfully.
But it is a nice looking board.

im about 5"4, when i used to surf i was about 9 or 10 so i didnt take too serious lol. i've ridden a spider board and my cousins mini mal. i would use my brother but at the risk of soundering poserish it's not as pretty as the one i want....lol, dont judge me!!!

And, I think the pin tail would aid in the stability and help keep your turns really smooth.

I know Kitesurfer is an expert in these things and don't want to step on his toes here , but I learned on a pintail and didn't have any problems that I was aware of.

It all depends on the board really. Square tailed boards catch waves much easier than pin tails which is why i commeted but the board in question is a good size for learning on so i doubt it will make too much difference.
