Emergency Board Repair?

Postby cow » Sun May 13, 2007 5:00 am

Need help. i came home today and found a break on the nose part of my board. crack went about half way across and i can see white bit inside.
I'm not going to surf on it but I cant bring it to the shop till this Friday. do i have to do something about it until it gets fixed on firday? like give a good wash or something?

It'd be a good idea to wash the crack thoroughly with fresh water and then let it dry out before you take it to the shop.

I wouldn't wash it, because the water will get into the foam, which isn't good.

Don't wash it. Put it in the sun, or put it up and let the crack face down. Place a fa next to it and let it dry out for a day.

I just got ran over today by some idiot and my board has a 8inch hole going through the whole board. :(

I am going to take it to a professional to get it repaired. Might be worth looking into if there is someone close that can do it for you?

Slap some duct tape over it if you want to surf on, or use some suncure, just dry it out, dig out the broken glass & patch up.
