Just a quick introduction.

I think the mods will probably class this as 'self-promotion', but I'll give it a go....

" your absolutely right lol ..

If you give the site admin a polite nudge and he then tells me to leave chippy in his cage then no worries ... always polite to ask before leaving Spam at the table incase no one fancies it

Hey Guys,

This Forum is great and Friendly especially to us groms!

I 33 years old, living in Perth, Australia having just moved from Plymouth, UK. Tried surfing when I was younger, but due to work just never had the time to keep it up. Never got any good, but now I live 2 minutes from a good beach break and have more time. Surfing on a used 6'6 Spider Bigfish which I got cheap and whilst its harder than learning on a minimal I am getting there and surfed my first few unbroken waves before hurting my ribs.

Links and advice from this forum really helped me progress - thanks

I am on a permenant visa and my time scale was quite quick (about 7 months), but I think that is an exception, not the rule! Good luck dudes.

Another one for the emigration list here! I need more work experience, then i can go! Will be moving to Sydney when I do.

In the mean time, I'm probably going to leave the Uk to get that experience, and head to NZ on a working hol visa, with aim to get a full work visa once i get offered a job.

It's a mission getting out there, eh!?
