Whats everyone up to?
I'm knackered but not sure why... I seem to be getting worryingly used to these 4 day weeks!

Having a flat warming on sat which will be fun (i hope)

Thanks mate, i will back to swimming a mile on Tuesday morning, and Thursday morning, the rest of the week in the gym, pyramid weight lifting ? I think that means less reps but with more weights ?

Having a week off with my bad shoulder, its taking a little while to get back into the routine again

Not too sure how i did it, i thought it was a pulled muscle from weight lifting, but it took ages to heal, spoke to my Doc, and he gave me a load of pain killers. So ive been trying to rest it, havnt rode my Motorcycle for ages !

Pity about you being ill mate, speedy recovery

Thanks Pauls, a mile at my swimming pool is 80 lengths. Every morning at 8.00am im in the pool or at the gym. My ma and grandma have paid for me to join a health spa, it also helps with my depression at the moment and it is getting me fitter, done it for about 3 months now !

Heya....

Its nice to hear all of this talk about fitness routines....personally i love being active, i guess im one of those people that if im not doing anything ...i start to twitch a little!

I swim a mile in the morning 3 times a week...takes me about half an hour, im trying to push for 2 miles in an hour. (depends on who is in the lane though!) Then run 7 miles 3 times a week as well...as well as a bit of yoga on the side....trying to fit it in with work is a mission though!

RevSboy...your so right its very worth it in the end! And can do wonders for things like depression. Drs now actually have to pescribe 30 mins of exercise a day before they can pescribe antidepressants.

Bloody hell Jennie! You must be uber fit!!
I've started my running again but am doing it with my g/f and she is a beginner so its 3 milers top atm. Hopefully get her up to a couple of 5 milers a week and an occasionaly 7 at the weekend. That'd be good

Started doing my weights again last week and already feeling much better for it!

Fox, I know how you feel, I was supposed to go on a sweet climb/hike last week but got too sick, then had to take 2 days off to get better. Still getting over it.

I started trail running recently, well before I got sick. Ran 7 miles last week on the trail. It was nice. Took us like a little under an hour.

.. lol.. ive given myself a three day a week schedule at the gym .. starting from next week .. and a couple of nights a week playing footy with lil'man ..and the usual once a week swimming sesh and my overdue cycling twice a week will begin as soon as the robbing fleshers at halfords have fixed my old GT !

I do have a far more enjoyable way of keeping fit .. which hopefully will be ressumed at some point this summer

Seems everyones going for the pre-summer fitness thing.

A few of the guys at work have a bet on at the mo as to who can lose the most weight before August 1st. Theyre all cabbies and therefore arent the fittest at the best of times - one of them is aiming for a 5 stone drop (dont think the early morning bacon sarnies are doing him any good though).

Im going head to head with one of the other girls in the office - I wanna lose about 2 stone (put on one and a half since January 2006) and shes aiming for 3 stone. Shes already trying to convince us that her new jeans are a size 12 - silly cow didnt notice that the size 16 label sticks out when she sits down

Weve also got one girl trying to put ON weight. Shes a size 4/6 (naturally) at the mo and wants to get upto a 10.

Flippin eck! Im knackered with the thought of all that exercise....

I used to (5 yrs ago)cycle about 50 miles per week & a couple of hours rowing...(helped a lot with the big 'D' too)...last few years ive been slack as...I won't sign up for the gym, wasted £350 on that last year...gonna dig my boardies out and get down the pool tomoz am. .... gotta be done...

Jennie, you thought about being a personal trainer? Or maybe SW's virtual trainer....
