Specific SurfBoard Question (Posted by abzdragon)

Hi, I'm new to the forum and to surfing.
I was actually online checking out boards and saw this one: cgi.ebay.com/NEW-6-SOFT-SURFBOARD-SURFING-SURF-PRO-QUALITY-PERR-72_W0QQitemZ160113731668QQihZ006QQcategoryZ22710QQcmdZViewItem
Now... I feel like there much be a kind of catch but I am too naive to see it?
I'm about 5'2\, 110 lbs so a 6' board should work right? And it's pretty thick.
My question is... would something like the board above work well for a novice surfer my size?

Oh and if it matters I surf Texas.

There are sooooo many things wrong with that board....
Thats not really a surfboard - its a toy.

Dont even consider getting a soft-top, they're only good for the very first time you try surfing. Five sessions later and you'll have outgrown it.

Look around on this website and see how many 'first surfboard' threads there are. The advice will come down to 'get a mini-mal pop-out' for your first board. For your size, something like 7'3 to start with.

(Go back into your box little bangey head man, it was a naive but reasonable question and there was no delusions of natural talent)
