foot placement on pop up

Postby happyharryhardon » Mon May 07, 2007 7:19 am

hi! its my first time here so be gentle  anyway, regarding pop ups, i can always do them smooth and quick but, my back foot almost always gets on the board a split second before my front foot does (hell, sometimes a full second maybe), i was wondering, is that really bad form? i was made to believe your front foot always gets on first but i just cant ssem to get the hang of it..

thanks!!! :D

thanks so much! but i forgot to mention that i was on a shortboard, since my feet hang off the back, my front foot doesnt seem to have the extra "pop" to get in place first..

Does it stall the board? If not, then why worry?

hehe thanks! :D so its ok? that's a relief, i've read pretty much everywhere that you have to have your front foot go first.. thought i was screwing my pop up the whole time
